An Atheist's View Point Poem by RAJ NANDY

An Atheist's View Point

Rating: 2.8

AN ATHEIST'S VIEW POINT
Please do not preach to me about Karma or
re-birth,
Since I have been born like others,
For one life's stand, on this earth!
We must enjoy our life and achieve all that
we can,
For who has ever seen that elusive promised
land? !
A bird in hand is worth two in the bush;
If you have doubts, ask President Mush or
George W Bush!
So the game plan of the ancients was simple
indeed,
It was to shield mankind from evil actions
and deeds;
The Karma theory was invented for our safety
and need!
Since capital punishment was not the only
solution,
A lurking dread in our mind was needed for
deterrent action!
Since you will never live this life twice,
Better listen to an atheist's advice!
Just think, feel, love and do all you can;
For one day humans will become superman!
The ' survival of the fittest', is the badge of our
tribe,
Only the fittest amongst us shall survive!
So don't let karma or re-birth curb your life
style;
Live life as you will, and live it King Size!

(FOR THOSE WHO HAVE READ MY, 'BREAKING THE
SHACKLES OF RE-BIRTH', THIS IS ANOTHER VIEW POINT,
THOUGH IN A LIGHTER VEIN!)

Raj! I think both Ershad and Mamta didn't pick up ur line.......this poem though told from an atheist's point of view contains enough of irony that tickles reader's mind......This is great poetry.

yes Raj we have only one life, and if we pay heed to the voice of conscience, we can lead honourable lives and sleep in peace at night. i am not too convinced about the law of karma and at times feel a crisis of faith. too many questions come to mind, i search for answers and finally just surrender to what is. experience teaches goodness doesn't always pay mamta

I totally agree to this viewpoint.. Life is given once, who has ever come back after death to collect the report card? ? ? …the justice is here sooner or later, I believe in Good and Bad, rather than securing the next birth we should concentrate on the present one, the Darma and Karma should be focused for this life only…with Love and humanity, without troubling and torturing others we can find happiness here….
