When we spoke last night
It felt like a gentle touch of lace against my heart
In your company my senses are more alert
my heart is softer and warmer
I feel your unspoken embrace and unspoken care
I am happy today, and hope you are too

You remind me of the beauty in human relation
that is unselfish, giving and pure
I have met kind and generous people
but somehow I feel you're a bit more fragile
a bit more precious and rare, or so it feels to me
and my heart just runs to you on its own
I have little to do but to follow
and don't question why

Today I realize there is simple happiness in that feeling
that can only be found between two
but is rarely ever felt
