An Estranged Bird Poem by Sarah Naiding

An Estranged Bird

Rating: 5.0

Hopes are like the
Yellow grasses,
Underneath the rock
Laying on and on.
With wounded heart
Alone and alone,
Embraces the yellowing sun
From the unknown.
An estranged bird,
it is.

An insightful simile that depicts the true nature of hope, well articulated and elegantly penned in poetic diction with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Sarah. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
