An Eye For An Eye Poem by Hannington Mumo

An Eye For An Eye

A slogan for the hopeless dying;
A tag-line for the lackadaisical world of blind men
Among whom exists not a single eye to gouge.
For you'll forgive this errant pen,
If it be wrong in its prudent urge,
(For it long admitted to being an amateurish judge)
To rule out that those who love throwing stones
Cannot at the same time live in glass mansions!
