An Idiot Poem by Margaret Everard

An Idiot

I am such an idiot
Why do I do the things I do?
I'm surely going crazy, now
Falling back in love with you

This is so stupid
I'd call it utterly insane
I want my days filled with sunshine
Not with pouring down rain

And yet, it happens anyway
It's almost encouraged by me
It really, truly shouldn't
But oh, can't you see?

No matter how I act
How I seem, or look
I'm lost without you here
In my fairytale, my storybook.
