An Illusion Poem by BRENDA KANSHABE TUMUSHABE

An Illusion

deep in the valley of sleep
i saw my love walk up to me
and whisper in my ear
only to wake up
and oh it was but a dream

on the window at school
legs swinging in the air
i could hear your deep contralto voice
say rosy eyes i love
but mmh it was an illusion

how you torture me
how you sway me
howyou breathe on me
wish it was true
not an illusion
