An Illusion's Life Poem by KUNAL SETH

An Illusion's Life

An Illusion lives in every mind
In every corner in every eye
It shows colours and dilutes gradually
Fiddles with brains and blurs reality
Sometimes it takes years
Sometimes it takes lives
But they are walking, talking and breathing lies
Mornings don’t wake you up
Nights don’t make them sleep
Has the usual ending just leftovers in peace
Some diseases have a cure some not
But one illusion is another’s cure
They breed under the same skin
Doesn’t discriminate between sins
They are written tragedies
A smooth play
A play of sorts, of lost reasons and creative dots
We are victims of the same air
With unreal smiles and its all fair.
