An Impatient Man Poem by Uriah Hamilton

An Impatient Man

Rating: 4.7

My heart is weary with a new hurt,
I’m disappointed with taxis
That fail to bring you home
On a dark night of cold rain.

I seemingly live constrained
Within unbreakable melancholy boundaries
While my head keeps spinning
With relentless emotional pain.

I’ve long been lost to God
And my calm Buddhist breath
Is beginning to speed through
My pounding fearful chest.

Are you gone for eternity?
Have all cosmic pleas been exhausted?
The universe continues to flow
But without love or sympathy.
