An Indian Song Of Unity Poem by Dr John Celes

An Indian Song Of Unity

There's space aplenty on the earth itself,
Unexplored, under-utilized by man;
Why send up rockets into stellar space,
And waste huge sums of hard-earned money then?

How many die by lack of food, diseased?
So many have not shelter of their own;
So many lose their lives through accidents;
Disasters claim hundreds of lives each year!

There's need to stem corruption in ways fast;
Our country's poor because of this menace;
There's much money hidden in our own land;
Unearth the black money and help the poor!

Let nothing try to divide Indians!
Our neighbors are not good enough at all;
We must be wary of our foes at large;
Unity is the clarion call therefore.

All Indians are our brother and sisters;
Let no one breach the subtle peace within;
Progress can come through unity alone;
All Indians must be united and brave!

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
