An Ocean Dream♥ Poem by sarah rabago

as i sit in my chair on the coast watching the waves i think about relaxing in the water just for a while
i start to walk to the water coming ashore
i look up at the waves further out
all of a sudden i gasp at the intense coldness of the water i feel on my recently warm toes, still its calming though, with the heat still trapped on my face, i walk deeper
i stop to think what would happen if i were to relax and just float
the waves would carry me out to sea
i would sink to the bottom, where you see coral and schools of fish, when one goes deep sea diving
i would drown
never to be seen again
i open my eyes and realize i am not at the coast and nowhere near it
i am in my room under the covers getting woken up by the sound of my alarm clock.
