An Ode To My Tree - Poem by Kelly Curiel

When I lay in your rough arms
I feel I am away from harm
resting with you I look to the skies
you are as old as you are wise
your beauty lives through all the years
always been there to dry my tears
when the world I no longer wish to face
I can look to your embrace
where I can freely, fully breathe
the calming scent of your sweet leaves.
