An Ode To Toby Poem by Mustafa Marconi

An Ode To Toby

Rating: 5.0

He done relocated
Different place, different time
Use to see him doing so fine
At the kingdom hall
And at the weekly meetings
For the young men of Jehovah
A straight arrow in a crooked world
His steel like armor use to shine so brightly
A symbol of self respect, pride and confidence
An ode to Toby
He done relocated
Different place, different time
Use to see him doing so fine
Walking door to door
Soliciting his Watchtowers and Awakes
Preaching an understanding of life
He never understood
A straight arrow in a crooked world
His steel like armor
Covered with African blood
Slain selling a Eurocentric religion
A symbol of the lost tribes
Striving to gather their self-respect
Their dignity and their manhood
An ode to Toby
He done relocated
Different place
Different Time
