An Unhappy Billionaire Poem by Francis Duggan

An Unhappy Billionaire

A billionaire in his mid thirties quite famous and very well known
But money and fame it cannot make him happy he just wants a life of his own
To live where he would feel a stranger though for him there is no such a place
From his fame 'twould seem he cannot hide for his is too well known a face.

A beautiful wife and two young children a girl of six and a boy of four
One would think that he would be happy that he could not wish for anymore
But he is one who is not happy and he is one burdened by care
And sad to think life is depressing for one who is a billionaire.

He and his wife go to the best restaurants they eat and drink only the best
But he never seems to be happy he always looks sad and depressed
If money could solve every problem how happy a man he would be
And lucky the one who is happy though one step above poverty.

A billionaire in his mid thirties and one who is famous as well
But life for him scarcely worth living the World for him an Earthly Hell
With a beautiful wife and two lovely children and quite wealthy and very well known
But all of these things cannot make him happy he just wants a life of his own.
