An Unwell Being Poem by Pondering Portrait

An Unwell Being

Rating: 3.5

A disease that devours
All surety in oneself
And mercilessly leaves behind
A lethal mass of doubt

An illness that begins
At the heart of the spirit
Weakening it to the point
Of futile surrender

An ailment that attacks
The rythmatic beat of belief
Ceasing its determined strife
Killing one’s inner self
