Anatomy Of Humor And Physiology Of Laughter

Anatomy of Humor and physiology of laughter

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Anatomy of Humor and physiology of laughter,
No kidding, it's a very serious matter;
So much research and serious writing on this light hearted issue,
Slapstick, humor, irony and satire; each is a separate chapter.

Mating the unrelated, absurd and irrelevant,
Preposterous, hyperbole and underplay
The sources of creativity and humor have an inter-play
Dead pan look, razor sharp timing; an impossible metaphor; each one is a key element.

Arguably the greatest expert in history is Char-Chaplin,
Slapsticks to biting modern satire,
Modern Times, Great Dictator and Monsieur Verdeux have slapstick on fire.
Tears and laughter, childlike and intellectual, everything is in;

Humor lifts your spirits, makes you friendly and receptive,
Provides a zany and creative perspective
Dissolves repression, makes friends and gives a break to seriousness,
Refreshes life though indirect and deceptive

Loud Laughter triggers a storm in physiology,
Massaging the mind and insides of body
No wonder laughter clubs have spread like wild fire
Humor and laughter make a celebration effective and godly.
