And Daddy Comes But He Goes Away Again!

Rating: 5.0

A very short story.
And Daddy comes
but he goes...away again.

And they put me in a cot
with stuck-on rabbits on it.
I was big but
they must have thought I was small.

And I didn't like it
and the nurse said:
'Stay quiet! '
in a voice that frightened me and
I got all blused and scared quietly afraid.

My mouth full of tonsils that
had to be got out or...I'd die!
And so it was(I was)
in hospital.

And bigger boys had charge of us
smaller boys.
And they brought around
a pot and said: 'Piss in it! '
And you had to go(even if
didn't want to or not) .

And the noise piddled like peas in a can
and the echo ran all around
...the eyes laughing you!
Daddy and Christmas came
brought me toys & comics

(a wooden truck with wooden blocks)
that you pulled along and could build up
into all sorts of things
...the BEANO said though I liked the BEEZER better.
And at night when the dark is as
quiet as can be

the not nice nurse says:
'No...you can't have another
drinka water! '
And the darkness and the hotness
holds me tighter.

Daddy does too but
it's a nice warm and smell of home.
His face prickly and full of kisses
that scratch.

And when I woke up
the nice night nurse
smiled:
'Are you alright? '

And she was so brightly white
I thought she was an angel
and I was in...Heaven?

And Daddy comes but he goes
away again!
And it seems such
a long time 'til

I'm better
and can go
home with him.

THE END.
