... And I Was Moved

You walked out on stage
with the confidence and grace
of Mahalia Jackson.
She once said, 'When you sing gospel
you have a feeling there is a cure
for what's wrong.'

Even though the modern song
you chose to play and sing,
was not a true gospel song.
I felt the power of your voice
compliment each black and white key.
And in that moment everything was alright...
...and I was moved.

it is the song and the lyrics that counts, and the last, the sincerity of the singer how she carry the whole song..Love this, sis, and thanks for sharing

I agree with David on this one, it's all about moods, some times a song just really speaks to your soul... Andy 10

Lil sis, sometimes you will find a singer or a song will move you and you don't know why. With a singer it is the soul embedded in their voice no matter what song they sing, With a song, something in the lyrics can just move you to tears. Either way this is a great poem. Top marks and thanks for sharing it my friend. Big Bruv
