And In This Ward Poem by Thampi KEE

And In This Ward

God I remained here for days
yet nobody know when I go there
I wish You God to say
no wards to keep me here
why I was kept here with a band on my left hand
with some numbers and codes
a needle is kept with right wrist

when ever my sister want to inject
she want to enjoy her syringe to pump here
But all keep me here with lovable words

when ever she come for massage I hate her speed

But this TV I know news on my pavements and city

I want to hear music of her words

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Thampi-ji, that sure is a poem about hospitalization. Hope everything is well and wish you all the best. (Have been off PH for a while due to several personal reasons. I am just catching up reading the poetry of all my friends here.)
