And...It Is Playing... Poem by Maria Barbara Korynt

And...It Is Playing...

Rating: 5.0

Perhaps you want to play
into the tomato?
Do you have the slender skin?
It you are good for playing.
More quickly grow ripe. Suffice,
that you will pour with hot water.
With ease it is diverging,
is peeling off from the skin,

is leaving the pulp

Make the salad, but
absolutely hire the good cook
for yourself.
He is covering the skin
with the sharp knife, is adding
citruses, and salting,

then healthily is peppering

And you only answer, when he asks
about anything: tomato, tomato, tomato.
How you will make a mistake
- you will lose.
And suppress laughter,
because you will lose too.
Perhaps you still want to play
into the tomato, with me?

And...do you have the slender skin?

Excellent satire, particularly in Polish. Not everyone knows which is playing it 'into the tomato'. - (one player - he is saying, he is asking, he claims - what wants - and second player can only repeat the 'tomato' (of no other words) and one isn't allowed to smile, because he is losing. Remaining players are laughing and laughing and most often the one which the 'tomato' is saying - he isn't withstanding and he is starting laughing. In living also this way he is, that people are saying and they are repeating only it, what can. They are dependent from the boss, from the law, from bans and orders. If they are saying differently, they can lose. They can - but must not. There are cases, that similarly as like in the game - are withstanding - refraining oneself 'from the laughter'... :) DA
