~ And Love Is Gone ~ Poem by Linda Ori

~ And Love Is Gone ~

Rating: 4.4

Caught up in our fantasy
Passionate, perfect, profound
All things are possible
INVINCIBLE

Unencumbered by rules
Love knows no boundaries
Respects no reason
OBLIVIOUS

Love distorts our vision
Makes us blind, ignorant, irresponsible
Truth remains
INVISIBLE

Reality held prisoner
In some long forgotten room
Quietly impatient
INAUDIBLE

Once that lock is sprung
Pandora's box exploding
Bursting our
ILLUSIONS

No more time for dreaming
All our veils are stripped away
Life becomes
REALITY

And
Love
Is
Gone

WOW....you captured the 'Been there...Done that'...hurts of reality...but...'Better to have loved....' so it's said...wonderful piece with so much emotion bleeding from each word...thanks for sharing this....: O)

You pen your angst and disillusion with style and feminist fire in this brilliantly constructed poem about life and love and letting go. A very moving poem. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

One door closes...several will always open for someone like you, Midnight.Angstful expression...powerfully delivered with punctuated expression....I like this candid thrust of ardentcy in establishing your tone & mood via letter casing.Paragon structure, and overall stellar workmanship, as per always. ~ FjR ~
