And She Was Gone Poem by Stefanie Jae Acosta

And She Was Gone

They say she's still down there
There, alone in the dark
It took her, say, forever
To wait for hopes faint spark

At that dreary loneliness
She wandered all alone
With nothing there but bitterness
Just like a cold hard stone

She feels none, No! Not a thing
Nor grasped what emotion means
For time had spared what hope must bring
Her very own young prince

He went away, the one she loves
The man for whom she lives
Oh happiness it was deprived
And never was she relieved

A guy came to her one day
She thought that hope has come
But he fooled her, thought it was fun
For all they know, she was gone...
