Fallen Too Far (United States)
And To Think... I'll Live Another Day... Despite The Weather
In the time that you were right
was the time i folded my dreams
up into the sky and sent them
soaring with a wish
that someday they would find their way
back to my trembling hands
and bruised arms
In the time that you were right
i abandoned many a soft night
to float like a shadow
through the streets
looking for a savior
with abandon
only to find myself back to you
In the time that you were right
i took my heart and placed it
in a safe place, for a rainy day
where you would never think to look
and i wished that you were
not
always
right.
