And You Came.....! ! !
You might come, riding on the waves
In this hope, I stood like
a rock on the sea shore
You may pass by jungle
In this hope, I started writing
Love notes on every tree
Your thirst may bring you near the river
In this hope, I started telling
Every fish to move on fast
You might come to the garden
In this hope, I requested buds
to bloom into flower
You may take the sky root
In this hope, I told eagle
To clear the clouds
You might come to my dream
In this hope, I always slept
Wearing fine clothes
And you came, unannounced
All of a sudden, when and how
I still wonder, seeing you in front.
लहरों पर बैठकर आओगी तुम इस उम्मीद में
मैं चट्टान बन साहिल पर
लहरों की मार खाता रहा
जंगल से शायद गुज़रोगी तुम
इस उम्मीद में मैं हर दरख़्त के पत्तों
पर नाम तेरा लिखता रहा
प्यास से तड़पकर तुम शायद
पानी ही पीने आ जाओ इस उम्मीद में मैं
नदी बन बहता ही रहा
बगिया में शायद तुम फूल लेने ही आ जाओ
इस उम्मीद में मैं भंवरा बन
कलियों को फूल बनाता रहा
उड़नखटोले पर सवार शायद तुम
गगन की सैर को आ जाओ इस उम्मीद में मैं
पंछी बन बादलों से टकराता रहा
सपनो में तुम शायद दुल्हन बन कर आजाओ
इस उम्मीद में मैं हरदम सज और सवर कर
गहरी नींद सोता रहा
और तुम आई- कब, कैसे और कहाँ से
पता चल न सका मुझको, सभी सोच रुक गयी
आँखों में चमक आई तुम्हे देख साँसे आई
