And You Think Your Job Is Hard? Poem by Miranda Oney

And You Think Your Job Is Hard?

Bombs falling, people die,
no stalling, children cry,
sad faces, mourning wives,
empty places, hidden knives,
no point, meaningless death,
efforts joint, last breath,
dangers lurk, mother's son,
Death's work never done.
