''Andy's Ramble #1'' Poem by Andrew Boyer

I bet you're reading this,
expecting something deep and full of thought
something you can analyze and make it what its not.

I hate to disappoint but what you see is what you get.
I'm a clean cut, conservative southern boy,
don't even have my license yet.

so I hate to give the middle finger,
to those of sophistication.
but I'm a no bull Sh*T kind of guy,
with just a high school education.

so many poems out there, focus on little household things
'The Coin', 'The Clock', 'The Ring', 'The pen'
they're just not interesting to me.

Me, I like to focus. on the bigger things at hand.
there's over 13 different wars out there,
and not all over land.

Now not everyone is into news,
and that I can plainly see.
but you wont hear an 'ode to Flowers'
from an angry guy like me.

now the time's a wasting
but at least wasting time is free.
no one forces you to waste it.
its the only time I'm Me.

so much fighting of religion
christian's just cant be left alone.
see, I don't care who made us.
I care about who will bring us home.

Because life is just a hobby.
there is no urgency.
just make enough, and share the love.
don't tell me what I have to be.
