Angel Poem by Elora Smith

Angel

Rating: 4.0

A face of an angel, a smile so pure,
She walks around with her head held high,
She looks happy for sure,
But that's only because she has to try,

She tries so hard to be happy,
She tries so hard to forget,
Forget the memories of the bully,
That filled her life with regret,

A face of an angel, a smile so pure,
She walks around with her head held high,
She looks happy for sure,
But that's only because she has to try,

Her mind filled with the names,
Her body still feels the aches,
To them the hurt were like fun and games,
But to her it always gave her the shakes,

A face of an angel, a smile so pure,
She walks around with her head held high,
She looks happy for sure,
But that's only because she has to try,

Inside she's nothing but a rainy day,
Feeling so hurt, but she was use to it,
She has always been treated this way,
She's falling ever so fast into a bottomless pit,

A face of an angel, a smile so pure,
She walks around with her head held high,
She looks happy for sure,
But that's only because she has to try,

Names tear,
Violence scars,
All of this just so unfair
This needs to stop before she's up with the stars,

A face of an angel, a smile so pure,
She walks around fooling the universe,
She looks happy for sure,
But truly her life is a curse,

The angel girl filled with fear,
She just needs help to find a cure,
So no one else shall shed a single tear,
Everyone should feel good and pure,

A face of an angel, a smile so pure,
She walks around fading away,
She looked happy for sure,
But it was too late, so now in heaven she will stay,

Just an angel girl,
So sad and alone,
She was trapped in a terrible world,
So now she rests with her name in stone.
