Angel From The Midnight Sky Poem by carl foster

Angel From The Midnight Sky

From the second I saw you,
Under that velvet hood I gasped,
I cried I saw an angel from the midnight sky,
You was lovely you was kind you was an angel from the sky;

You was kind you was here,
I thought I had died,
I thought I was dead,
I thought I was with an angel from the midnight sky;

Until I saw the beast charging viciously with the bloody knife,
I jumped and charged with the stick,
I dodged its attack I quickly turned around and hit him at the neck,
He fell he dropped I killed a man he masked dropped of,
I turned around and you were gone;

Now in prison I look for you every day,
I cry I dream that one day we will meet again in a better place,
But yet I think were you ever there,
My angel from the midnight sky.
