Angels Song Poem by Alice Winters

Angels Song

The angles are waiting for me to come,
and I know that I should but I don't want to run.
I can get scared sometimes in my life,
but that doesn't mean I shouldn't try.

And I can fight the lion even though I'm the lamb,
I can fall in love with whoever I can.
I don't need anybody to push me around,
I make the music with my own sound.

And the tears wont fall down my eyes anymore,
because I've gotten stronger and learned to take control.
I know I'm young and restless too,
but that doesn't mean I'm made for you.
