Anger Before Kindness Poem by Hidden Red

Anger Before Kindness

Help! Help!
He’s heard the words before.
Yet when he offers assistance,
He’s always turned away from.
Convincing others of his kindness all his life,
Yet he still has to convince himself.
His face set in a permanent frown,
And his eyebrows bent from anger,
Scares away the stranger
His goodness wells up inside,
Ready to burst,
Yet denial of his benevolence,
Causes his acrimony,
To go off first
