Animal Rights(A Surrogate Hen) Poem by U Win Kyi

Animal Rights(A Surrogate Hen)

On the duck eggs
a hen hatched.
When they cracked,
the ducklings came out quack, quack, quack.
Their beak so flat,
their feet with a web.
Not a chicken appearance they had.
About swimming she was scared to death.
When the ducklings swam and their wings flapped
she called for help, help, help.
But no one showed any interest.
Confused hen scratched her head.
