This is my all time favorite poem, and Poe is the master craftsman, the bar of perfection to which I aspire, the genius who understood that every word must be carefully chosen to create atmosphere and to achieve a specific end. (Report) Reply

This poem is the saddest and most beautiful I have ever heard. It really gets to me. I first heard it when I was in HIgh school in the orchestra. We played the piece of music that was based on the poem and it was hauntingly beautiful.

Poe is without a doubt the best poet of all eternity. His use of words convey to use a world we can only dream of. This poem is full of wonder. His poems make you want to turn away and read more all at the same time. (Report) Reply
