Another Day
A slow, slow morning
carapaced with expectation,
lilted into life
by a Delius melody
billowing from the radio;
somehow right,
somehow apposite,
appropriate, matching
the myriad frost-hued windows
illumined by tentative
strokes of sunlight,
rediscovering
inexorably,
reinvigorating
its own promise.
