Another Day Poem by Tanner Herndon

Another Day

The silk after taste, of drinking
Your eyes, the texture of dreams,
As you make them arise:
I am far from forbidding elation, with you
I am here to stay, forever, if you will have it
Always, if you will agree, to that
Never leaving your side, unless
In a time of battle, I am always yours
Yours, to be stingy, ungenerous
Forgiving, and relentless in loving-
To be yours, is to die, without question
In your name; for your name,
By, your name.
To die after your name,
To be yours, is to live happily
To have more issues than most,
But live through them, because we are strong
We are together, and we have a love,
That is too strong for most to bear.
For two people and a world together
Made so unique for the two of us,
I know, 'always' are the words
In my heart-
And 'forever' is another day together,
With you.
