Another Girls Come Along. Poem by Charles M Moore

Another Girls Come Along.

Rating: 5.0

When I saw him chatting
In some other girls dreams
How I felt the knife
give a twist in my spleen
Sisterhood doesn”t mean a damn thing
When another girl comes along

How I waited, and dated
Hoping he”d be the one
How he fed me the lines
That the time was all wrong
And I can”t swim
Cause the tide has just gone
Now another girls come along

Now I’m left wondering
What I’m gonna do
I like shopping
And she”s taken my shoes
I feel I”ve got the butterfly blues
Since another girls come along.

A gentle irony sweetens this piece (the lyrics to a song I'm sure) of female angst. Lyrical and unpretentious. I enjoyed it. love, Allie xxxx
