Another Reason Why I Don't Keep A Gun In The House

The neighbors' dog will not stop barking.
He is barking the same high, rhythmic bark
that he barks every time they leave the house.

A nicely piece done just right. I cannot believe there is just one comment on this poem. I would think there would be many more. Best regards, keep up the good work. God bless. Michael Gale. (Report) Reply

That's a wonderful poem! Inspiration out of desperation! ! -We had a similar situation and solution! We got a new neighbor downstairs after having an empty quiet apt for half a year or so. They made so much noise, we finally started calling him and his friends 'the Vikings'. When he first moved in, his friends would come over late at night. They'd make a LOT of noise for a while and then go out. We made up stories about how they were standing in front of a huge fireplace, drinking ale, tellling tales and slapping their thighs, while their dogs rough-housed. Then they would go out and raid for women and vittles and grog. They'd come back in the wee hours, heartily slap a few thighs, and go to bed. When we hear a lot of noise downstairs nonw we say 'oh, The Vikings are at it again! ! ' It makes us laugh instead of fume! ! I use Mozart violin concertos. It seems to quiet everything down!
I love the part about the oboe section and the coda!

    AArooorrrroooo to you, too!
