Another Sad Line Poem by Jemme Simbulan

Another Sad Line

Rating: 4.5

Another sad line,
Another cry,
Once again I write these things,
Not hoping you'll read it…

I remember our laughs,
Those that I've frozen,
The cheers we had,
I all mislead them.

Forgive me now, forgive me tomorrow,
I blew everything,
Away, away from you and me,
We lost everything.

I forgot how to miss you,
But you're always in my heart,
I miss everything we would do,
Those things? They will never happen again right?

A joke, the lies, all end up in my death…
In your heart, in your mem'ry,
Have you forgotten already?
My name, my face all soaked in shame.

Tears! These useless tears,
My humiliated face dried them up,
Hate me, curse me,
Weak I am… Weaker now…

Was it courage? Or was it conscience?
I say both killed me,
My lying mouth has affirmed,
Forgiveness, anyone?

Haunting these mem'ries anywhere, everywhere…
Cowardice escorts me to restlessness
I see you, I see me,
Such a bittersweet mem'ry…

Friendship and Betrayal
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Heartfelt apology well depicted in the poem. Love is a spiritual experience, it's also whimsical and temperamental, coming unannounced and may leave without warning if it's not carefully nurtured at all times. A well articulated piece of poetry written from the inner recesses of the heart. A nice poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
