Another Storm Poem by Amber Elzey

Another Storm

another storm is rolling in
any argument you can not win
you know she has already won
because her sparkling blue eyes are gone

her eyes turn dark and gray
as the storm heads your way
you hear her thunder start to rumble
when she begins to mumble

you try to run and hide
but she is too sly
the storm quickly finds your hiding spot
and she surrounds you with everything she's got

you close your eyes and cover your ears
and try to block out all your stormy fears
you slowly open your eyes
and then you realize

the thunder clouds are moving on
and the storm is finally gone
her dark and gray eyes turn warm
as you wait for another storm
