Another Thank You Poem by Dee Corpolongo

Hearing that God works in mysterious ways
I've given this a lot of thought
knowing that there are good and bad days
but peace of mind is what I've sought

After losing yet another much loved pet
the heartache gets harder to bear
Others can't understand how much she meant to me
and there is some that really couldn't care

This is when Time is the only answer
to easing this pain in my heart
Crying that she is gone forever
Praying for a brand new start

Looking around the house and yard
which is in need of so much tending
Deciding this is the best time to begin
a major clean up and a whole lot of bending

So start I did and accomplished some
of what was easier when I first moved here
Losing hope and hurting my back, I cried
feeling depressed and just filled with fear

I kept praying asking God for answers
and then there was a knock on the door
There stood someone I haven't seen in years
who has always helped me and loved me even more

We talked for what turned into hours
then he left and returned the very next day
the place looked as if it had a makeover
bringing my spirit alive in such a way

He then fixed all the things in need of fixing
until he felt that it was completely done
I made him dinner and shared many smiles
recalling many memories and all the fun

So I thank dear God for helping me immensely
and sending what was an answer to my prayer
and for giving me some hope and enjoyment
Please remember that God is always there
