Another Time Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Another Time

Prickly paths of summers soul
Ignoble breath that readily flows
Your ink dries and people cry
Purged of change we debate
What did you mean when you said that?
What do we mean when we say this?
They pick you apart

Mystery like the sea in spring
Autumn orchards
Lady slippers on an island of moss
Your risque eternity my love

Pique Italian Rivera
You grow in your very own meadow
Paths of solitude
Bells of the Seines
Legends bright like sapphires
Walks along the river of beauty
Irish smiles filled with wit
Cottage windows quaint and old
Cemeteries with gusts of wind
Poetry and coffee
Antique chairs that get used
Third person stories
Novels posthumously published
Vivid and vague
I wonder about your kisses
Portraits and ghosts
Your words greet my world

Another time lives on
