Another Tomorrow Poem by John Dam

Another Tomorrow

Every night I've gone to bed with the hope
of God saving you for another tomorrow
For me, but not only for me for us

We've had dream, promises, but all of them
were broken like a rusty old chain broken
by a vicious dog breaking free-making

My biggest fear a reality
the fear that distance would tear us apart
Although we, I tried so hard

Time has passed and you've decided that the
time for us, for me has also passed
That day you knocked me with an iron fist
through the muscle where your name
was written in capital letters

My hopes, My dreams for another tomorrow
is now for another
