Another World Poem by Bareerah Bilal

I was walking along
in the night
the wind swirling around
as screams pierced through the air
I spun around
and saw yet again
another sister dying
the world spun around me
there was blood everywhere
corpses lying on the road
as I trudged on
with the sword in my hand
helpless
unable to save
fighting but losing
as I fell to the ground
Looking up at the stars winking
encouraging me on
faces swarmed in front of me
all those whom I had loved
all those who had helped me on
as I left them
off to another world
a world of peace and happiness
