Anticipated Poem by France Tamaca

Anticipated

Even as I shut my senses tight, I can still feel your sultry stare
It’s glued.
On the ceiling,
On the back of my lids,
It’s nearly everywhere.
So strip it off, if you please
Before these yearnings dare increase
And I let..
This dim-witted heart take over
Should I be running now for cover?
Because you..
Throw fire like a pro.
Just a tiny, little curve on the side of your lips would make it impossible to say NO.
But.. no.
I could just snatch my heart back the sooner you filch it,
Right?
You could fry it,
Scorch it..
While you can... til the last bite.
Though I sure wish you won’t
Because I’m quick at pulling away, but sometimes it’s just a flaunt.
And I’m not sure when my friend AMNESIA would pay me another visit..

Or if she ever will.

She’s quite aloof sometimes, you know, and I fear..
That with your irresistible charms, she’d instead be in favor of you, my dear.
I knew.
Your pre-act.
Your deliberate seduction.
Your egotistical game.
I saw it even before it came.
I regret that I let it, somehow
It might be too late to back off now.
Because you..
You hold the switch
To turn me on, and off, whenever you wish it.
And I’d fall with a single twitch.
As you think you’re meant…..
To push me.
You have no right to, but you had it nonetheless.
So do it.. to your heart’s content.
