Apiphobes Poem by Saiom Shriver

Apiphobes

Beekeepers who
clip the queen bee's wings
to enslave her,
who crush bees in the racks
that slide in and out,
who steal the labor of these
hardworking insects,
who sometimes kill the whole
hive at the onset of winter
rather than feed them...
are not apiphiles
but apiphobes.
