Are We Really So Differently Different? Poem by Safa Mubashir

Are We Really So Differently Different?

Are We Really So Different?

Are we really so different?
Eyes, nails, ears and nose,
What about the attitudes?
When we see from other's shoes?

Are we really so different?
Sunlight, days, months and nights,
What about the feet size?
And the scenes from other's sights

Are we really so different?
North, south, east and west,
What about the finger prints?
And each one differently dressed?

Are we really so different?
Mountains, lakes, roads and rivers,
What about the genes?
And the feelings of the caregivers?

Are we really so different?
Sky, Stars, Moons, Clouds
What about the life after death?
Even with similar shrouds

Are we really so different?
January, March, May and July,
What about February?
What a difference, Oh My!
