Aria In A Capella Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Aria In A Capella

I know the lyrics to that song,
My heart sang its melody
When first we kissed.

I know the lyrics to that song
It's the sound of spring
it's the song birds sing.

I hear it in the rustling leaves,
Every breeze repeats the sound
I hear it when you hold me,

I hear it when you caress my hair
I know the lyrics to that song
I hear it everywhere.

I wrote the last love song
Yesterday,
It was written on the breath and
Sigh of your goodbye.

Oh sweet melody of love sublime
When did I first hear your echo
Sweeping softly pass my ear
