Ariel's Spirit { From '' While You Were Asleep'' / The Ariel Series

Rating: 5.0

She plays silly games,
with shadows and echo;
it's the aura about her,
projecting her presence
in light and clamor
amongst the blackness
and silence of her hidden Cross;
and you'd love to have known her,
call her your friend,
just because-
she was special in every way...
just because-
her fabric was sewn by Angels;

which made it all the more grievous
to kiss her powdered cheek... goodbye.
And the light she shone
fades into darkness,
and again she whispers, "I love you",
from a far distant echo
so quiet, her voice
is stolen bybreeze
moving so softly,
through the branches
in a field of sprite willows.

And, at times so clamorous
is her presence upon me,
as if that wild side
I loved, and miss so-
still breathes
within her soul, within her spirit,
and it be these strange times,
almost haunting, yet sweet,
when I can feel the gentle brush,
like a new morning mist
beckoning my silence
to touch her heart.

And whenever that happens
I close my eyes tightly,
and seize the image
of her fair, shadowed beauty-
passing through me, about me,
and when she does, I take in
the scent of Vera Wang-
the perfume she loved,
and left behind.
Or as if she were here,
placing her head
against my bare shoulder;
and I say to myself,
you're still here, my love,
and, somehow I must
believe she be... so,
that I may exist here,
in my new, different world,
until we both become spirits,
and souls within each other,
in an endless dimension,
where there be ne'er need
for shadows, echoes,
or words spoke on breeze.
A place where all Death
and loneliness...
cannot survive.
