Arizona Here She Comes Poem by Donal Mahoney

Arizona Here She Comes

Jane told Tarzan toodle-oo
and moved away to Arizona
because although it's hot out there

it's a dry heat and not the swamp
of heat she found herself panting
in the jungle where they lived.

She says Tarzan never leaves
the trees when summer comes.
Alligator jaws wait agape for him.
