Arrested Possibility Poem by gershon hepner

Arrested Possibility

Arrested possibility,
the definition of the state of limbo.
Bait with gullibility
for arresting possibilities: a bimbo.
The one's the space the other one
inhabits when she's labeled and confined,
for definitions smother one––
identity's defiled as soon as it's defined.

John Sayles' movie 'Limbo' has opened to great critical acclaim. It takes place in Alaska and its heroine, played by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, would appear to be the antithesis of a bimbo. She prefers to live with her husband in England waiting to get parts in movies rather than flaunting herself in Hollywood.
