Arrival of Spring

Long awaited
Spring's arrived
Filling the hearts
With joy and hope.

New leaves and buds
Compete to come out
Flowers showing up
Hiding the leaves.

Apple and cherry trees
Filled with blossoms
Provide a scenic sight
A delight to the eye.

Trees of many varieties
Make their presence felt
Showing their colors
For the grand contest.

Weeping willows
Ever so graceful
Their sweeping branches
Kissing the earth.

Evergreens stay
Green as ever
Watching the panorama
Springing around.

The spring celebration like this as a due acknowledgement in fine simple verses is the worship of God! (Report) Reply

Spring is the season of colours and songs.... After the unusually biting chill of winter this time, everyone must be greeting spring with great furore! Enjoyed this spring song! (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Edward Housman

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
