Artfully Alone Poem by Belinda ASC

Artfully Alone

Rating: 5.0

Alone, ' I think of you'
Distant, free, and missing on my side
In your eyes I seem to be oblivious
I reach out to you but you ignore.

Alone, ' I am falling in love'
This heart seems so prudent yet stupid
It beats fast and panic when it feels you
And momentarily forget the void of loving you.

Alone, 'I am wishing on a star'
Seems that I am a kid who believes in magic
Yearn and long that fairy tale could happen
wishing that my story could have a happy ending

And here I am again, 'Alone and dreaming each day'
Being artfully alone and keeping sublime thoughts
Needless to say that I am praying for the missing piece
So one day I would certainly feel, 'I am not alone ' anymore.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is made tonight 5/30/12. I was just browsing poems when I saw some which tackle the topic of being alone so I decided to think of one. It's like I am the person who is being an artfully alone but still believes that there's missing piece in my life..
